In my point of view I think this is a very good thing, because it means that the tourism in the world is increasing so that's good for the people who is studying to work in this sector.
The net result of the activity in the company regained the profit path of the benefits for the first time in eight years, since 2008, until they reach 11 millions.
The group has pointed out that the good evolution in the main markets where they operate, a behaviour in their income ''superior to their competitors' and an efficient management of their business where the key of their increasement of the operating profit and income.
Gross operating profit (EBITDA) increased 21% to 181 million, while the group's total revenues reached 1,475 million in 2016, up 5.7% on the previous year.
From the increase in this last chapter, NH has highlighted the momentum that has been the evolution in the year as a whole of markets such as Spain, which improved by 13.5%, or Central Europe, with an increase in activity of 7.8 %.
Hotels in the chain in Barcelona increased their average revenue by 13%, while those in Madrid improved by 5%.
In Spain, prices increased by 8.6% and RevPar grew by 12.9% on a comparable basis, with an occupation 4% higher than in 2015.
NH's net financial debt stood at 747 million at 31 December 2016, a reduction of 91 million compared to the end of the financial year 2015.
From the beginning of the plan until December 2016, the group has completed the comprehensive reform of 59 hotels.
